Instagram Activity Tracker

See what a public account has been up to: who it followed, who followed it and who it talks to most, in one report.

  • Public accounts only
  • No Instagram login
  • Newest 2 follows free

How it works

  1. 01

    Search the account

Type a public username or paste a profile link.

  2. 02

    We read its public activity

Follows, followers, and the likes and comments on its newest posts. Nothing is sent to the account.

  3. 03

    Read the report

Everything in one place, with New labels on what changed since the last check.

What an activity tracker shows

“Activity” on Instagram covers a lot. Some of it is public, and some of it never leaves the account. An activity tracker can only work with the public part, so here is exactly what FollowGlance reads:

ActivityWhere it shows up
New followsThe newest accounts it followed, with New labels
New followersThe newest people who followed it, with New labels
Who it engages withAccounts that like and comment most on its newest posts
Linked accountsRelated profiles that look tied to the same person or brand
Who it follows, roughlyA split of women, men and pages, guessed from first names
Account detailsYear joined and country, when Instagram shows them

A free check shows the profile and the newest 2 follows. Unlock the account for 1 credit to open the rest of the report.

Follows, followers and change history

The useful part of activity is change. One check shows a snapshot; the next check shows what moved. FollowGlance keeps each check of an account, so:

  • follows and followers that are new since the last check get a New label;
  • each new one shows when we first saw it;
  • checking an unlocked account again is free, up to 30 times a day;
  • daily email alerts check the account once a day and send you the news.

The unlock includes 30 days of alerts, and you can have them on for up to 10 accounts at a time.

What’s not possible (and why)

Some things people call activity are private by design, and no honest tool can show them:

  • Posts someone liked. Instagram stopped showing other people’s likes in 2019. We show who likes the account’s own posts, not which posts it likes.
  • When someone was last active. Activity status is shared only with people they follow or message, and only if they allow it.
  • Messages, close friends and saved posts. These stay inside the account.
  • Private accounts. Their lists and posts are for approved followers only.

If a site promises any of these for an account it doesn’t own, it’s guessing, or asking for a login you shouldn’t give.

Reading activity without jumping to conclusions

A follow, a like or a comment is a small public signal. It can mean a new friend, a work contact, a brand deal or nothing at all. Put several signals together, like new follows and new comments around the same accounts, and look at the profiles before you decide what they mean.

Questions

Can I see someone’s Instagram activity?

Their public activity, yes: new follows, new followers and who engages with their posts. Private activity, like the posts they like, their messages or when they were last online, isn’t visible to anyone outside the account.

Does Instagram show activity status?

Only to accounts the person follows or has messaged, and only if they allow it. It isn’t public, so no tracker can read it honestly.

What activity can be tracked on a public account?

Its follows, its followers, the likes and comments on its own posts, and a few account details. FollowGlance reads those and marks what changed since the last check.

Can I track likes and comments?

On the account’s own posts, yes: the report shows who likes and comments most on its newest posts. Posts the account likes elsewhere aren’t visible.

Is there an activity log on Instagram?

Yes, but only for your own account: Your activity in the app shows your likes, comments and more. Nobody else can see it.

Can I see when someone was last active?

No. Activity status is shared only with the people they follow or message. FollowGlance doesn’t show it.

Does this work for private accounts?

No. We only read public accounts, and you’re never charged for a private one.

Will they know I looked?

No. Nothing is sent to the account, and we don’t use your Instagram account to look.

Can I track multiple accounts?

Yes. Each account unlocks with 1 credit, and daily email alerts cover up to 10 accounts at a time.

Is it free?

The check is free: the profile, its counts and the newest 2 follows. The full activity report costs 1 credit, with packs from $6.99 and no subscription.

Updated October 28, 2026. FollowGlance reads public Instagram data only. It never logs in to Instagram, and the account you check is never notified. Privacy Policy
