Updated October 28, 2026

A brand’s newest follows often hint at what’s next: a creator it’s about to work with, a new market, or a company it’s keeping an eye on. FollowGlance shows any public account’s newest follows first, so you can see these moves without scrolling through thousands of names.

What you can learn

  • New creator collaborations. Brands often follow creators before a campaign goes live. A new follow isn’t proof, but it’s a useful early sign.
  • Where a competitor is heading. New follows of shops, suppliers, venues or accounts in another country can point to a launch or a new market.
  • Accounts worth knowing. The accounts a leader in your niche just followed are often new voices worth following yourself.
  • Who’s engaged. Unlocked reports show the accounts that like and comment on a brand’s newest posts most, which helps you find fans and future ambassadors.

A simple routine

  1. List the accounts you care about: competitors, brands you’d like to work with, and leaders in your niche.
  2. Check each one on the home page. The newest 2 follows are free.
  3. Unlock the ones that matter. Each takes 1 credit and stays unlocked for good.
  4. Turn on daily email alerts. We check each account once a day and email you its new follows and followers. You can keep alerts on for up to 10 accounts.
  5. Once a week, read through what’s new and note any patterns.

What it costs

There’s no subscription. Credits come in one-time packs from $6.99, and bigger packs cost less per report: $3.00 in the largest one. Each unlock includes 30 days of alerts, and after that 1 credit adds 30 more. See pricing.

Good to know

  • Public accounts only. Private accounts can’t be checked.
  • Once a day. Alerts arrive about once a day, which suits research better than constant pings.
  • Times are first seen. Instagram doesn’t share follow times, so we show when we first saw each new follow.
  • Use it fairly. Use what you learn for research, never to spam or pressure anyone. See our acceptable use policy.

Questions people ask

Can I check a competitor’s Instagram follows?
Yes, if the account is public. You see the accounts it followed most recently, newest first, and nothing is sent to the account.
How many accounts can I keep alerts on?
Up to 10 at a time. Each unlock includes 30 days of daily email alerts, and 1 credit adds 30 more.
Is there a team or agency plan?
Not yet. Credits come in one-time packs and belong to one FollowGlance account. Bigger packs cost less per report.
Can I export the list?
Not yet. You can open any unlocked report from My reports at any time, and check it again for free.
Is it fair to look at another brand’s follows?
A public following list is already public on Instagram. FollowGlance only shows what Instagram makes public. Use it for research, and never to spam or harass anyone.
